H4CK is a Gen-Z-focused TikTok channel, idealized by Marie D’Apoigny and funded by the Looping Group, that initially had the mission of decoding online trends. However, as time went on, we as a team decided to dive into topics like queerness, music, Berlin’s techno scene, and lifestyle.

Through bold and engaging content, it creates a space for diverse voices and stories, resonating with a dynamic online community.

one channel, multiple audiences

Designed to connect with young audiences through authentic content that speaks their language, H4CK explored topics like queerness, music, fashion, and Berlin’s vibrant culture through distinct content series:
- H4CKED decoded internet and real-life trends, covering events like the passing of punk icon Pamela Rooke;
- H4CKS offered practical tips, such as the best live events happening in Berlin;
- Asking You featured interviews with artists, musicians, and authors;
- Basic Berlin humorously highlighted common Berlin clichés and
- Come With Me gave viewers a personal look into events like music festivals through the hosts' own experiences.

Each series aimed to create a space where Gen-Z could see their interests, experiences, and identities reflected in engaging, relatable content.

THE PROJECT

As part of the H4CK team, I wore many hats.

Hired primarily as a video editor, I also stepping in as a host a few times.

My responsibilities encompassed the entire content production spectrum, from content and/or trend research all the way to fine-tuning, posting, as well as analyzing content performance.

I crafted dynamic edits that kept up with Gen-Z’s fast-paced attention span, ensuring each piece felt fresh and engaging while staying true to the channel’s unique tone.

From cutting interviews and decoding cultural trends to creating snappy event recommendations and capturing the essence of Berlin’s vibrant scene, I played a key role in shaping the visual storytelling that helped grow the channel’s audience from 5k to over 100k organically.

My work wasn’t just about putting clips together, it was about understanding what made our audience tick and translating that into videos that felt authentic, fun, and relevant.
