Blindmate
Client: Blindmate - freelance work
Year: 2023
Blindmate is a dating app that focuses on genuine connections by removing the pressure of appearances.
Matches start with conversations, not photos, encouraging people to get to know each other before looks come into play.
In 2023, Blindmate came up with a Pride campaign for their TikTok page, featuring a series of interviews celebrating queer stories and connections.
Additionally, to connect with their audience, they had the idea of releasing a series of team videos, where the team members not only introduce themselves, but also share personal stories both related and non-related to their work as part of Blindmate.
The app stands out for embracing authenticity and creating a space where personality comes first.

EXPANDING & CONNECTING WITH THEIR AUDIENCE
Blindmate aimed to expand its queer audience by embracing diverse stories and fostering deeper connections.
To achieve this, they entrusted me with the mission of creating a series of interviews featuring queer individuals of different genders and sexual orientations, highlighting their unique experiences and perspectives.
I was responsible for the entire production process, from capturing sound and image to editing.
The goal was to start with a compelling hook — a witty or important remark — to draw viewers in, then transition into the full interview, keeping the audience engaged until the end, where the hook would pay off and the engagement rate would be boosted.
I used fast-paced transitions, varied camera angles, and shot sizes (wide shots, close-ups) to add dynamicity and maintain interest.
Moreover, the team videos, where team members answered questions about each other, had the purpose of giving faces and names to the people behind the app, making Blindmate’s online presence more personal and relatable while building a stronger connection with the audience.
